We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data we process

When visiting the website: IP address, date and time of access, pages viewed, browser type, operating system and referring website. This data is collected for technical reasons and serves the secure operation of the website.

When placing an order: name, delivery and billing address, e-mail address, telephone number, items ordered, payment method and order history.

When making an enquiry: the details you submit via the form or by e-mail.

With a customer account: login credentials and the addresses you have stored.

3. Purposes of processing

We process your data to handle orders and payments, deliver goods, respond to enquiries, meet statutory retention and accounting obligations, prevent fraud and improve our offering.

4. Disclosure to third parties

We disclose personal data only where necessary to perform the contract or where required by law. Recipients are in particular:

  • Payment service providers: Stripe and PayPal process your payment data under their own responsibility. Credit card details are never stored on our systems.
  • Logistics partners: postal and courier services receive the address data required for delivery.
  • Suppliers in direct shipping: part of our range is shipped directly from our suppliers‘ warehouses; we transmit name, delivery address and order contents to them.
  • Hosting: our web hosting provider operates the server infrastructure.
  • Fiduciary and accounting services: within the scope of statutory bookkeeping obligations.

5. Disclosure abroad

In the case of direct shipping, delivery data is transmitted to suppliers who may be based outside Switzerland and the European Union, including in the People’s Republic of China. These countries may not offer a level of data protection equivalent to that of Switzerland.

In such cases we transmit only the details necessary for delivery. By placing an order that is fulfilled by direct shipping, you consent to this disclosure.

Further disclosures are made to service providers in the United States (see sections 6 and 7), based on their contractual guarantees.

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Technically necessary cookies enable basic functions such as the shopping cart, login and language selection; without them the shop does not work.

Analytics and marketing cookies are only used with your consent. You can withdraw or adjust this at any time via the cookie notice or your browser settings.

7. Third-party services used

  • Google Analytics (Google LLC, USA): analysis of website usage. Used only with your consent; IP addresses are truncated.
  • Google Maps (Google LLC, USA): display of map material. Loading the map transmits your IP address to Google.
  • Google Ads and Merchant Center (Google LLC, USA): promotion of our products and measurement of advertising performance.
  • Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland) and PayPal (PayPal S.à r.l., Luxembourg): payment processing and fraud prevention.

8. Retention periods

Order and invoice data is retained for ten years, as required by the Swiss Code of Obligations. Enquiries are deleted once they have been dealt with and no retention obligation applies. Customer accounts remain until you request their deletion.

9. Data security

The website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Complete security of data transmission over the internet cannot, however, be guaranteed.

10. Your rights

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process, and to have it corrected, deleted or handed over. You may object to processing and withdraw any consent given at any time.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

11. Amendments

We may amend this privacy policy at any time. The version published on this page is authoritative.
